A miner set up a mining farm in the hotel basement

In Kyrgyzstan, a miner decided to set up a mining farm in a hotel, hoping no one would notice the electricity loss.

The State National Security Committee of Kyrgyzstan reports that “on March 3, 2022, in the basement of the Tikhiy Zamok hotel, a mining farm with over 150 ASIC equipment for cryptocurrency production illegally connected to the power grid of JSC Severelektro was revealed”. The owner of the farm, a 25-year-old resident of the capital, was detained on the spot.

Note that given the resulting shortage of electricity in the country, the state power plants have imposed a temporary ban on the issuance of technical facilities for mining. Therefore, any found farm is considered illegal. Earlier, law enforcers found a mining farm in the power plant's Head house.
