Apple needs a cryptocurrency expert

Apple seeks an employee for a new cryptocurrency-related legal position with potential work on cryptocurrency projects.

As reported on the company's official website, the company announced a position for a senior legal advisor with blockchain and digital asset experience in order to work with the Apple Pay and Wallet teams. This employee will join the legal product team in New York and support "identity initiatives for the Apple Pay and Wallet teams."

The employee's job duties will include supporting and advising on a wide range of Apple Pay and Wallet issues, feature/technology research and development, licensing, intellectual property, as well as regulatory and compliance proposals.

The hiring announcement shows Apple's growing interest in blockchain and digital assets. There are rumors that the company is working on cryptocurrency-related initiatives.
