The hacker exchanges stolen tokens for Ethereum on the decentralized exchange Uniswap. The team of the affected Harmony project is working with the authorities to identify the perpetrator and recover the stolen funds.

According to the Harmony Twitter account, the attacker conducted 11 transactions within 18 minutes and then transferred stolen tokens on the decentralized exchange Uniswap to exchange them for Ethereum.

"The Harmony team detected about $100 million worth of theft that occurred on the Horizon Bridge. We are working with national authorities and with forensics to identify the culprit and recover the stolen funds," said the company.

Horizon Bridge allows tokens to be transferred between Harmony, Ethereum, Binance Chain, and Bitcoin networks. On the evening of June 23, the project announced that the bridge had suspended its work. At the same time, the funds in BTC were not affected during the attack.
