Edward Snowden contributed to the Zcash token creation

Former CIA official Edward Snowden confirmed his involvement in the Zcash token launch and that it was him hiding behind the alias of John Dobbertin.
Snowden claims that he was never paid and had no interest in the financial part of the project. Instead, he served the public interest. He also pointed out that the problem with Bitcoin's open registry, as opposed to a private status such as that of Zcash, is that users are denied truly free trade:
"The problem with an [open register] is that you can't trade freely while maintaining privacy. And without free trade, there can be no free community."
He also warned against investing in meme tokens for quick profits in the wake of Shiba Inu's price skyrocketing in late 2021.
