NiceHash managed to bypass the Nvidia mining limiter

NiceHash developers bypassed Nvidia's restriction for mining on some RTX 30 Lite Hash Rate (LHR) graphics cards.

As reported on the NiceHash website, the QuickMiner utility helped experts restore the full performance of most GPUs except for the GeForce RTX 3050 and GeForce RTX 3080 12GB, which use the new LHR algorithm.

Several third-party testers have confirmed the utility's performance. Once unlocked, RTX 3080 Ti performance reached almost 117 MH/s instead of the previously possible 80 MH/s.

So far, this method only works on Windows computers and supports the only Dagger Hashimoto (Ethash) algorithm.

Recall that in February 2021, Nvidia released an updated line of LHR-line graphics cards RTX 3000, for which it halved the power of devices when mining Ethereum. In such a way, the company wanted to target the GPUs to the needs of gamers.
