Reuters: Binance served Iranian traders despite US sanctions

Iran’s traders had used crypto exchange Binance until the company started imposing rules of checking accounts in September 2021.

According to Reuters, US sanctions were reimposed in 2018. Binance should have removed Iran's accounts at that time. But in the words of local iran’s traders, clients could create new accounts with e-mail addresses without any additional verification option. Reportedly some senior employees of Binance knew of Iranians using his platform.

Experts said this situation can be a cause for introduction of restrictions against Binance.com. US regulators can cut off Binance by the US financial system and ruin his reputation.

Recall, the US already had investigated some deals against Binance. Now the Securities and Exchange Commission is checking crypto exchange about violation of the law of securities when Binance spent ICO in 2017.
