The Brazilian government considers setting cryptocurrency as a legal payment option for workers

A recent survey of Brazilian citizens suggests that almost half of them (48%) believe that Bitcoin should be made an official currency and means of payment, just like in El Salvador.
Luizão Goulart, one of the leaders of the Brazilian Republican Party, inspired by such public opinion, submitted a new legislative draft to the government for discussion. This legislative draft grants employees the right to request employers to make cryptocurrency payments for work performed under employment contracts.
The bill provides for the activation of the cryptocurrency pay option only with the mutual consent of the employee and the employer. It is up to the employee to determine the payment percentage. The employer should not exert any pressure on the employee regarding this issue and not force the employee's opinion
The bill will cover both public and private companies. If the government decides to approve this initiative, Brazil will be among the leaders in the mass adoption of cryptocurrencies.
Just to remind you, Brazil is the largest country in South America, with a population of over 212 million people.
