The first NFT token was issued on the Dogecoin blockchain

One of the DOGE cryptocurrency developers named inevitable360 tweeted that the first non-fungible token (NFT) has been created in the Dogecoin blockchain. As proof, he posted a transaction where he created an NFT token.

According to the developer, the cost of creating a non-fungible token on the Dogecoin blockchain was only 0.01 DOGE, which in terms of U.S. dollars is less than one cent. The SHA-256 algorithm was used in the creation process.

According to Cryptoglobe, the developer's tweet caused quite a stir among DOGE holders, drawing the attention of various celebrities from the Dogecoin community, including its co-founder Billy Marcus Billy Markus.

Dogecoin core developer Michi Lumin commented on the event, emphasizing that NFT was created "without gas fees and with less energy consumption." He pointed to the great prospects for DOGE NFT since creating non-fungible tokens on the Ethereum blockchain involves high costs due to the exploding transaction fees on this network.
