The global investor SoftBank launches NFT marketplace in 180 countries

Z Holdings, a Japanese holding company, will be in charge of creating and developing the platform. The launch is scheduled for spring 2022, expecting the platform to be available for 180 countries at once. 

According to Bloomberg, Z Holdings holds a huge share of the Internet market in Japan. It owns the Yahoo Japan Internet company, the Line messenger, and PayPay mobile payment service. Now they are preparing to release the NFT marketplace. 

Currently, there is no information about the name of the platform and its functionality, as well as about the differences from the largest NFT marketplace in the OpenSea world. However, it is assumed that the company will primarily target the Japanese audience.    

Recall that SoftBank is one of the largest investors in the world. It holds stakes in such companies as AliBaba, SenseTime, Arm. Recently, the Japanese company has been actively investing in the crypto industry. It helped raise $400 for the FTX crypto exchange and invested in Mercado Bitcoin, Sorare, Zepeto, and others.
