The U.S. approves international crypto regulation policy

The main purpose of the regulatory document is to ensure that cryptocurrency activity is consistent with "America's core democratic values."

According to the department's website, the decree, handed over to U.S. President Joe Biden, establishes a framework for interagency cooperation with foreign counterparts and in intergovernmental forums.

The department has established program goals such as protecting consumers in the U.S. and worldwide by promoting technologies and standards that reflect U.S. values and countering foreign adversaries' attempts to implement standards and promote their protocols.

Since January, the White House has been working on a government strategy for cryptocurrencies. Moreover, in early March, the Biden administration called on cryptocurrency exchanges to ensure that Russian individuals and organizations subject to sanctions cannot use digital currencies to circumvent restrictions.
