Unknown hacked almost 8 thousands crypto wallets on Solana
The vulnerability of the Solana blockchain had not yet been detected. Many keepers of altcoin say about financial losses.
According to the official Twitter account of the developers, the number of hacked wallets is 7 767. The hacking attack also affected some services, including Slope and Phantom.
“Engineers are currently working with multiple security researchers and ecosystem teams to identify the root cause of the exploit, which is unknown at this time” - said developers.
On behalf of the project, no facts that the attack affected the owners of cold and hardware wallets. They recommended users to transfer his assets in cold and hardware wallets and not use old seed phrases. The hacked wallets needed consider as non-safety.
The cybersecurity company, PeckShield, amonted the losses to $8 million.
Engineers from multiple ecosystems, with the help of several security firms, are investigating drained wallets on Solana. There is no evidence hardware wallets are impacted.
